Prague is the capital city of the recently formed Czech Republic. It is home to over 1.2 million residents and is one of Western Europe's medium sized cities; however what it has to offer is far from middle of the road. It was formerly known as Zlata Praha and is situated on the banks of the river Vlatava, which is in central Bohemia.

Perhaps the most famous landmark in Prague is the castle, this castle is according the Guinness Book of Records, the largest ancient castle in the entire world. This of course attracts a great number of tourists every year, however it is not only the incredible castle that they are drawn to. There is an abundance of impressive architecture and the city is often called the city of one hundred spires as a result of all of the church spires that jut into the Prague sky.
