Popular Themed Hotels Around The World
Whilst many people still look for a hotel that offers class and elegance, many people are in search of something slightly different. Although they are still looking for the same comfort and service they would receive in a high class hotel, these people are looking for something other than the standard five star interior and the many themed hotels that are popular throughout the world fit their bill perfectly.
One of the most popular themed hotels is one of the two Alton Towers hotels that are situated on the site of the popular UK theme park.
In the main Alton Towers hotel, the rooms are divided up into two separate areas. The first, Explorer rooms, are standard yet comfortable and offer a great place to rest your head after a day in the theme park. The second are called the Themed rooms and these are again split into different areas, with nine themes in total.
Varying from Arabian Nights to Peter Rabbit, there is a room to suit the needs and imaginations of all children and their young-at-heart parents, too.
Taking a trip over the English Channel to France and Disneyland Paris boasts a fantastic array of themed hotels. With seven main Disney hotels available on site, each differs completely in their theme, from a trendy New York hotel right through to a rustic, old American west hotel, known enticingly as the Hotel Cheyenne.
For something completely different to any mainstream hotel, a visit to a little town near to the Arctic Circle is required, as it boasts a wonderfully creative hotel called the Ice Hotel.
A modern version of the traditional igloo, everything, from the check-in desk right through to the beds is made completely from ice.
One of the most interesting aspects about the Ice Hotel is that it is re-built every year, as soon as the start of winter is apparent, ensuring that one stay at the Ice Hotel will be completely unique and individual to another in a different year.
The hotels mentioned so far, particularly in regards to the Alton Towers hotels and those at Disneyland Paris are particularly large, in terms of both the hotel itself and the rooms for its guests. The same cannot be said, however, for the Yotel airport hotel near to Heathrow Airport in London.
Designed with overnight stays in mind, the rooms at the Yotel only cover a few square feet in floor space, but they manage to encompass flat screen televisions, a full size bed and complete bathroom. Not for the claustrophobic people out there, Yotel cleverly charge by the hour, proof that these rooms, whilst comfortable, are designed for nothing more than a short rest before a flight.
Using a themed hotel can bring something different to a holiday. Five star hotels that exude elegance are without doubt beautiful and offer a fantastic setting, but something different is occasionally required and the use of one of the many popular themed hotels is often seen as the way to go.
